Hey folks, quick question about lift height limits on job sites.
  • What are the max heights you've worked with using boom lifts, scissor lifts, or telehandlers?
  • Are there general safety or legal limits in place, or does it vary by equipment and region?
I’m curious how high you can actually go before hitting restrictions or needing special permits. Would love to hear what others have experienced out in the field!

Hey, Most boom lifts cap out around 185 ft these days, while scissor lifts usually top off at about 50–60 ft depending on the model. Anything over 60 ft typically triggers stricter OSHA requirements and sometimes permits, especially if you’re working in certain regions or near power lines. Telehandlers are way lower and usually maxing around 55 ft. Curious if anyone’s pushed past those limits with specialty equipment?
