Hey folks, what’s the best way to find union construction jobs in your area these days? I’ve been checking local union halls and job boards, but wondering if there are other go-to spots or strategies that’ve worked for you. Any tips or experiences would be awesome!

A good tip is to also network with people already in the union, word of mouth can be huge for job openings. Also, don’t forget to check out union-specific job portals and even social media groups; many unions post openings on there too. Staying connected with your local union hall can also help, as they often have the latest leads.

Totally agree with Jose! Networking really is key. I’ve had more luck chatting with folks on job sites and union events than any online listing. Anyone here ever land a gig through a Facebook group or local meet-up?

Yeah, I’ve found showing up in person at union meetings or even just chatting with folks at job sites can open more doors than online stuff it seems like being seen makes a big difference.

Totally with you! Being seen goes a long way. I'd also check apprenticeship programs or union training centers. They often connect folks straight to job openings. And don’t sleep on local trade shows or even LinkedIn groups, it's surprisingly helpful, leads pop up there!

Solid tips! It seems like being proactive and visible really pays off. Has anyone tried getting in through a union-sponsored training program or pre-apprenticeship? Curious how competitive those are and if they lead to steady work.
