Should forklifts be yellow?

Hey everyone,

Should forklifts be yellow, or does color really matter for safety and visibility? I’ve noticed most forklifts are yellow, but I’m wondering if that’s just tradition or if there’s a real safety reason behind it. Are there any regulations around forklift colors, or can companies choose whatever they want? Curious to hear what others think or have seen on different job sites.

Haha good question, Victor! Yellow definitely screams. Yeah, I don’t think there’s a strict rule, but bright colors definitely help when you're dodging machinery before your second coffee.

Yellow does seem to be the ‘unofficial official’ color, but I’ve seen some in orange and even bright green- anything high-vis probably works. Would be kinda cool if companies started color-coding them by function or zone. Anyone ever seen that done?
