What Are the Huge Dump Trucks Called?

Hey everyone,

I’ve seen those massive dump trucks at mining sites and large construction projects, and I’m curious, what are they actually called? Are there different names based on size or industry use?

Also, which brands make the biggest ones, and what are they typically used for? Would love to hear from anyone with experience operating or working around these giants!

Those massive dump trucks are usually called haul trucks or mining trucks! Brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, and BelAZ make some of the biggest ones like the Cat 797 or the BelAZ 75710, which can haul hundreds of tons. Definitely beasts of the construction and mining world! Have you seen them up close, or just curious?
