What Heavy-Duty Degreaser Do You Use?

Hey everyone, looking for recommendations on heavy-duty degreasers. I’ve been using a local product, but it’s a bit pricey, and we don’t always have easy access to it. I don’t mind mixing it with diesel for extra power, but it’s hard to find something effective without needing to rely on high-pressure washing. Any good products you guys have tried for cleaning heavy machinery and parts without making a mess?

hey @bigBucket! I hear you on the price issue—some of these degreasers cost a fortune! I’ve had good luck with Purple Power and Zep Industrial; they cut through grease pretty well without needing a pressure washer. If you don’t mind a little DIY, mixing Simple Green with some diesel can also work wonders for really caked-on grime. What kind of equipment are you cleaning most often—engines, undercarriages, or just general shop messes?

Purple Power's got that 'can't beat it' vibe, but if you're feeling adventurous, mixing in some diesel might just turn you into a degreasing wizard. Just don’t get carried away unless you’re trying to start a cleaning revolution!

Another great option is using a mixture of baking soda and water for a more natural, eco-friendly cleaner. It’s gentle on equipment, but still effective for breaking down grease and grime!

Totally get the love for Purple Power, but honestly, I think Zep Industrial edges it out for really heavy build-up. It clings better and cuts deeper without needing to mix in diesel, plus it's easier on the nose if you're working in a tight space. Anyone else feel the same?
